Since we plan on staying in this house for a long time we decided to go with warm and inviting colors.
For some reason, maybe because of all the grey colors, it felt like no one has lived here for a very long time.
It’s been fun picking out colors and working together to make the house come alive.
What a wonderful experience for all of us to work through. I’ve really enjoyed spending the time with the kids and talking about all kinds of subjects and learning about their different tastes. Soon we have to do the heavy work of moving, but right now we still have more painting to do.
In the midst of this we are also still running back and forth a bit to help with sorting my parent’s estate. So time is a bit of a challenge, as always. Still, it’s so good to work with family and friends to see things start to come together.

Such fun. I need to paint, too. My house is a boring beige. Not my personality at all.
I decided this year (promise to myself) to add some color to our lives. Color makes such a huge difference in the energy of the room.
Even if it’s just different colored pillows.
