” Many of us are afraid to follow our passions, to pursue what we want most because it means taking risks and even facing failure. But to pursue your passion with all your heart and soul is success in itself. The greatest failure is to have never really tried.” – Robyn Allan
So true. I’ve been wanting to a write book for years. So many ideas floating around in my mind. I say no time keeps me from writing/finishing but part of it is fear. Thanks!
I have been writing down book outlines and saving them for a long time and am wondering why. What is there to be afraid of? If you are doing something that is “you” and part of who you are – then there’s nothing to fear. So write the book. What you do with it later is a whole different decision. The challenge and accomplishment of writing will lead to all kinds of self-discovery that are well worth the journey alone. I have just agreed to write a book on grief. A big challenge, but one i am going to take on. 🙂
I was going to say “So true” but Kathy already said it. Instead I’ll ask a question in response. How is it that some of us are so willing to take risks and so many of us are so tentative to take that next step? I so wish everyone could have the gift of self confidence. The world would be such a better place.Your blogs always leave me thinking….thank you.
Thank you so much! I wish I had the gift of confidence all the time – it kind of comes and goes, but grows over time.
